WINDY ACHIEVEMENT WORKSHOP ON JANUARY 20

= With 157 participants at Can Tho Department of Education and Training =

On January 20, 2016 an achievement workshop was organized in Can Tho City, Mekong Delta Vietnam by the WINDY steering committee (Can Tho Medical College and Can Tho Department of Education and Training). There were total 157 participants including 60 pupils and 44 teachers from schools which are located around Can Tho City.

IMG_5095.JPG It was an exciting day for all to come to the meeting. Mr. NAKAO Toyoki a key person of project management from Japan was also attending the meeting. On presentations pupils were happy to show their good practices by photos and examples; 2 teachers explained how they applied the PAOT into integrating techniques on daily teaching activities.
46 leaders and representatives were also invited from related organizations such as: 6 Departments of Education and Training at district level; 28 head teachers from almost all high schools around Can Tho City; Department of Planning and Investment; Department of Health; Can Tho City Friendship Union; 3 local and national press and television; Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy and Thoi Hung People Committee.
In the presentation, Dr. Nguyen Phuong TOAI summarized results from 7 school that joined WINDY programme and their improvement from pupils and teachers (see a below table).

IMG_5111.JPGOn this occasion, Mr. TOYOKI Nakao, project representative in Japan and Mr. Vo Minh LOI leader from Can Tho department of Education and Training, both received awards from project manager.
Pupils in the workshop demonstrated many low cost, good examples were shown. Some of them expressed real behavior changes on environment protection among younger schools generation in Mekong Delta area.

In general, this is the most successful of WINDY EXPANSION achievement workshop that we have ever had, we were impressed with the great contribution of the organizers, the facilitators, the participants from Can Tho Medical College, and especially the lovely students who all make the presentations with great results.
At the end, between Can Tho Medical College and Can Tho Department of Education and Training expressed their commitment on WINDY programme expansion on more and more schools.
